I want to post some of the juicier snippets from my WIPs but I also don't want to spoil too much so this is getting much harder to do, lol.

This version of Shen Wei works with a new aeronautical division of the bureau as a pilot. She flies simulated space crafts and engineers make adjustments to calculations and designs based on her feedback. One day, two highly placed officials—going by their suits and the wide berth that everyone gives them—are watching her simulated flight from an observation platform. “Minister, are you sure we should keep pursuing this? You remember Ma Gui’s warning about space?”

“I very much do remember the warning that he had left for us. But it has been over ten thousand years. Things surely have changed since then.”

It's a reincarnation of Shen Wei. He goes through a couple of lives in the fic, and I figure one of them might as well be as a girl. (I do have a plan for bringing back the original Shen Wei.)

Oh, okay, thanks for the clarification! I don't like genderswap AU unless they're both genderswapped, hence why I was asking.

Oh, no, this is not a genderswap AU (I don't mind those, I've read some in other fandoms before but I don't particularly see myself ever writing one).

I think I've gotten the most comments on angsty snippets but I can't keep posting those because then they'll lose emotional impact in the fic.
